"Our Journal of Springime", Hong Kong's first long-running musical written, composed, written lyrics, directed and produced by Tom Chen, has proudly exceeded 600 performances and stood out from more than 100 musicals across the country. It won the "Outstanding Musical of the Year" award at the large-scale musical awards ceremony "Performing Arts World Musical Chart" held in Shanghai, which can be said to be a lot of happy events. To celebrate the milestone of "Our Youth Diary", Tom specially invited many cross-disciplinary artist friends to guest perform in different shows for two consecutive months. In addition to bringing a refreshing experience to the fans, it also allowed a group of actors who are good at singing, dancing and acting to shine on the long-lived musical stage. The organizers took the lead in announcing a list of some of the guest stars, including Johnny who plays Gao Liren, Heung Hoi-lan who made a strong comeback after playing the leading female role, Principal Yan, for 48 shows last year, as well as Jiang Jiamin who has just returned to being a freelancer and is stepping into the field of musicals for the first time, actors Pan Yitong and Huang Keying, and The Voice of China singers Zhan Tianwen, Wen Kaiting, Pan Jingwen and Lin Zhile. The strong lineup brings wave after wave of surprises to the audience.
Johnny (as Gao Liren)
Performance dates and times: March 13-14 and 27-28 (Thursday and Friday, 8pm)
Johnny, the "No. 1 Brother of ViuTV", has always been active in the field of television and hosting. In 2023, he tried to perform a musical for the first time in "An Elephant's Farewell" produced by Tom, which received rave reviews. Now challenging himself in a long-running musical again, Johnny said excitedly, "I met Tom, the producer, when I was performing in "The Elephant's Farewell" two years ago. At that time, I already admired this talented young man very much. Later, I had the opportunity to work with him again when filming a TV show. So when Tom invited me to guest star in "Our Youth Diary", I agreed without hesitation! All along, the characters I played were rarely abandoned, and Gao Liren just gave me a taste of the melancholy of being abandoned. When I personally participated in it, I found that "Our Youth Diary" not only has a very passionate story, but also the front-stage actors and the behind-the-scenes work team responsible for changing the scenery are also full of enthusiasm and cooperation. It's really Amazing! Long-running musicals need word of mouth from the audience to continue to run for a long time, even across thousands of performances. Please promote it to your friends and encourage them to buy tickets to attend!"
Anne Heung(as Principal Yan)

He even shared with me the songs he wrote for "Our Youth Diary" and studied the content together. Therefore, I can say that I have watched the birth and growth of "Our Youth Diary". I have witnessed every stage from creation, audition, 2019 performance, to the long-term performance in Kwai Hing. Tom is a director who knows his ideas very well. I can feel at ease to add my own interpretation methods within the framework he set. This time, I am back to play Principal Yan again. There will only be two performances. Don't miss it!"
Kaman Kong (as young Yan Lizhen)

Tom invited me to guest star in "Our Youth Diary" as the young version of Principal Yan, which required singing, dancing and acting, which was exactly what I wanted to challenge myself after leaving the nest, so I agreed without hesitation! I am currently rehearsing and training intensively for the role, and I hope to let the audience see the reborn Jiang Jiamin outside the TV screen!"
Pearl Poon (as young Yan Lizhen)

She said: "I have had a strong interest in drama since I was a child. My first job was as a children's drama instructor. So when I learned that I had the opportunity to participate in "Our Youth Diary", I was very excited. It is a play that audiences of different ages can resonate with. I was particularly moved by the song "I Have a Dream" in the play, which reminded me how happy it is to have the ability to pursue my dreams. The difference between stage plays and TV dramas and movies is that actors can see the audience's reactions in real time. I am also looking forward to the precious moments of close contact with the audience on stage!"
Windy Zhan (as young Yan Lizhen)

The line "You have to make your regrets valuable" inspired me to behave in the future. As a viewer, I really like this drama and have always hoped to be able to participate in it and experience it from another perspective. Therefore, being able to guest-star in two shows as the young Principal Yan is definitely a dream come true!"
Felix Lam (as the principal in the 1970s)
Performance dates and times: March 30 and April 6 (Sunday, 3pm)

He said, "I often see advertisements for "Our Youth Diary" at MTR stations and on buses, and my friends praised it after watching it, which made me very curious and wanted to know what the magic was. After watching it, in addition to admiring Nancy's superb performance, I also resonated with the plot, which made me deeply realize that I should not be obsessed with the missed time, but seize the present and not regret it. As a newcomer to stage plays, I am very happy to be able to guest star in this classic Hong Kong long-running drama. I will try my best to enjoy the process and have fun. I hope everyone will support me."
Tom He said: "Shanghai has developed into a musical city in just a few years, and the 'Performing Arts World Musical Chart' is a large-scale award ceremony in the local area. It is a great honor for 'Our Youth Diary' to be awarded the 'Outstanding Musical of the Year' award. When I went to the local area to receive the award in person earlier, I also took the opportunity to meet and exchange experiences with other musical producers and learn from them. When I saw other musical producers entering When watching the performance clips of the musical, we know that Hong Kong musicals still have a lot of room for development. We need to improve the production level and continue to explore more different types of themes to create more exciting and novel works. In fact, long-lived musicals need to maintain freshness to attract more fans to come back and watch. Therefore, in celebration of the "Diary of Our Youth" crossing "To celebrate the 600th performance of the musical, I sincerely invited many of my actor friends to guest star in the show, and I was very touched that everyone agreed to do so.
